Refund Policy
Rising Minds Academy Australia Last updated: 25 April 2026
This Refund Policy sets out when Rising Minds Academy Australia ("we", "us", "our") will and will not provide refunds for the R.M.A. Coach monthly subscription and any other paid services offered through therisingmindsacademy.com.au. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
This policy is designed to comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and applicable New South Wales law.
1. No change-of-mind refunds
The R.M.A. Coach subscription is a digital content service that is delivered immediately upon purchase. By subscribing, you expressly acknowledge and consent to the supply of digital content beginning immediately, and you accept that you do not have a "cooling-off" or change-of-mind right to a refund once access has been granted.
In particular, we do not provide refunds or partial refunds where:
-
you subscribed and then decided you no longer wanted the content;
-
you did not watch, or only partially watched, the videos during a billing period;
-
you forgot to cancel before the next monthly billing date;
-
you cancelled part-way through a billing period (you retain access for the remainder of the period);
-
the content did not match a subjective preference or expectation that we did not specifically promise; or
-
a third-party issue (internet connection, device, browser) prevented you from accessing the content through no fault of ours.
You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the next billing date through your member account area.
2. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, condition, warranty, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or any other applicable law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Broadly, you are entitled to a remedy if:
-
the service is not rendered with due care and skill;
-
the service is not reasonably fit for a purpose that you made known to us before purchase; or
-
the service does not match a description that we have specifically given.
If one of these guarantees is not met, you are entitled to a remedy. For a major failure, you can choose between cancelling the service and receiving a refund for the unused portion, or seeking compensation for the drop in value. For a minor failure, we may choose to re-supply the service, fix the problem, or refund the unused portion, at our discretion.
A "major failure" generally means the service has a problem that would have stopped a reasonable person from buying it, is substantially unfit for purpose, or cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time.
Disliking the style, tone, or subject matter of the content is not a major failure.
3. Duplicate, fraudulent, or unauthorised charges
If you believe you have been charged more than once for the same billing period, charged after cancelling, or charged without authorisation (for example, by another member of your household or by a compromised payment method), contact us within sixty (60) days of the charge appearing on your statement. We will investigate in good faith and refund any charge we confirm was made in error or without authority.
4. Technical failures on our side
If a technical fault on our platform prevents you from accessing the R.M.A. Coach library for seven (7) or more consecutive days within a billing period, and you have reported the issue to us at therisingmindsacademy@gmail.com and given us a reasonable opportunity to fix it, we will, at our option, either extend your subscription by a corresponding number of days or refund a pro-rata portion of that month's fee.
Outages caused by third-party providers (Wix, your internet service, your device, content delivery networks) or by scheduled maintenance notified in advance are not grounds for a refund.
5. Price changes
If we increase the subscription price, we will give you reasonable notice before the new price takes effect. You may cancel before the new price takes effect. Continued use after a notified price change is not grounds for a refund of the new, higher price.
6. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us to seek a resolution, we may:
-
suspend or terminate your account;
-
pursue recovery of the disputed amount plus any chargeback fees levied by our payment provider; and
-
refuse future subscriptions from you.
We strongly encourage you to contact us first at therisingmindsacademy@gmail.com — we aim to resolve legitimate issues quickly and fairly without the need for a bank dispute.
7. How to request a refund
To request a refund that you believe is owed under this policy or under the Australian Consumer Law, email therisingmindsacademy@gmail.com with:
-
your full name and the email address on the account;
-
the date of the charge;
-
the amount of the charge; and
-
a clear description of the reason for the request.
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within five (5) business days and to provide a decision within fifteen (15) business days of receiving all information reasonably required to assess the request.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. Processing time by your bank or card issuer is outside our control and typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days.
8. Fraud, abuse, and policy misuse
We reserve the right to refuse a refund and to terminate an account where we reasonably believe the refund request is fraudulent, is being used to repeatedly access and then reclaim the cost of content, or is otherwise made in bad faith. This does not affect any remedy you are entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law.
